Arroyo Consulting has a experience with alternate energy; this is primarily with: (1) compressed or liquified natural gas ( CNG / LNG) for use in the transportation industry with a focus on fleet conversions and refueling station design / installation. We believe that gasoline engine duel fuel conversions or intermediate and long distance diesel duel fuel conversions have a relatively short ROI. Fleet conversions for in-and-around town diesel applications should be completely converted to CNG or when replacing these types of vehicles purchasing pure CNG replacements (in-and-around town diesel conversions - either dual fuel or complete conversion- will probably not have an ROI within the useful life of the vehicle). We are capable of installing the kits for which we are dealers and designing / installing the required refueling stations. (2) Arroyo Consulting's gasification technology produces a synthetic natural gas from any organic material (e.g. municipal solid waste, coal, wood debris, etc.). The waste output is a black glass and not an ash such as with coal residuals from a typical coal power plant or ash from a municipal waste incinerator; this black glass has a number of reuse applications as it has good compressive strength and will not leach heavy metals from a TCLP analysis (as is typically the case with coal ash residuals); the long term liability associated with caretaking of the coal residual in perpetuity is eliminated. The quality of the synthetic natural gas is driven primarily by the available BTU content of the feedstock. The particulate emissions from this process is typically 1 percent of an aspirated system before scrubbing so it is probably the only process by which a coal powered plant would be able to meet future EPA Clean Air regulations. The syngas is then scrubbed for use in boiler applications (steam turbine) or with additional scrubber technology could be used in a gas turbine application.
